One sunny morning in London, Thomas helped little Jessica get ready for school. Jessica loved her three small pets: a bee, a spider, and a butterfly. But her eleven-year-old brother Theo, with his brown hair and blue eyes, did not like bugs at all. "Yuck!" said Theo.

Later that day, Theo pretended to be sick so he could go home early. Naughty Theo wanted to get rid of Jessica's bugs while his dad was sleeping on the sofa. Theo quietly snuck up the stairs and tiptoed into his sister's bedroom.

The bug cages were completely empty! Theo looked beneath a huge pile of teddy bears. Suddenly, a giant golden bee popped out and bumped right into Theo! Theo was so startled that he fainted.

Theo woke up in a clean hospital room with his loving dad sitting nearby. A kind nurse with blond hair came in to check on him. "A giant bee hit me!" said Theo. "Don't be silly, Theo, giant bees are not real," Dad laughed gently.

Suddenly, the hospital curtains rustled. Out popped a giant spider! It quickly wrapped Theo in a huge, soft spider web. "Help!" cried Theo, as he fainted once again.

That evening, Theo finally went home. He ran straight upstairs to check the bug cages. The bee and the spider were sitting inside, but the butterfly was missing!

BANG! A gigantic, colorful butterfly swooped out of the wardrobe! It picked Theo up and flew him to a secret cave. The three giant bugs were all there. "We want an apology for trying to get rid of us!" said the bugs.

"I am so sorry," trembled Theo. "I promise I will never try to get rid of you again!" The bugs forgave him and carried Theo safely back to his cozy bed. From that day on, Theo knew pets were truly extraordinary!
